During the past week, from the 20th to the 24th of January, participants had the opportunity to attend inspiring lectures delivered by experts from various fields, focusing on applying CPS&IoT systems in different domains.
The theoretical training was kicked off by Prof. Dr. Radovan Stojanović and Dipl. Eng. Jovan Đurković with topics “Introduction to CPS&IoT Systems with an Emphasis on Their Application in Biomedicine” and “Communication for Biomedical Devices”. Their presentations highlighted the challenges of designing and developing such systems and devices, especially in biomedical engineering.
On the following day, Prof. Dr. Neđeljko Lekić and Prof. Dr. Nedeljko Latinović delivered a lecture on “CPS&IoT systems in precision agriculture and ecosystems”, providing insights into the application of these technologies in the agricultural sector.
Prof. Dr. Marko Simeunović conducted the third lecture on the topic “Drones and the Internet of Things”, where participants learned more about movement control, the basic building blocks of drones, sensors, and more.
The fourth lecture, “Application of CPS&IoT systems for assisting people with disabilities”, was delivered by Prof. Dr. Andrej Škraba from the University of Maribor. He presented real-life examples from this field and discussed opportunities for further research.
The final lecture, which addressed legal aspects, was presented by Dr Nina Radulović, an Attorney at Law, and Mr Matija Stojanović, a teaching assistant. Their topic, “Intellectual Property Protection within the S3 Context”, provided valuable insights into the legal challenges and opportunities in the world of smart technologies.
All the recorded lectures and materials can be found on the CPS&IoT Academy’s dedicated website.
